64 - The Story Behind My Business and My Mission to Help One Million People
Jun 29, 2025
My misery and frustration in life started slowly.
It got harder to get out of bed, harder to find excitement in what I did, but it ebbed and flowed. Some days were worse than others. I remember thinking, “when did I sign up for a life in an office?” after starting my career in the Army, to finding myself spending many years of working from a glass box.
There was a quiet voice inside that kept whispering "Surely, this can’t be it?"
Yet, I had ticked all the boxes and on paper, things looked great. A successful career, a beautiful family, a nice home, a good life. But deep down, I felt like I was existing rather than living. I felt I had so much more to give.
What others didn’t know was that I felt like this about my career, I was no longer happy in my marriage, and somehow was in so much debt despite a high paying job and had nothing to show for it.
Then eventually, I realised that no one was going to save me. I had to be the one to take back control of my life. So I did, I separated from my husband and quit my job…
Yes, it involved turning my life upside down for a while which wasn’t easy. But looking back now, I am so proud of myself for doing it. For taking back control of my life, I only have one after all.
But just as I was putting back the pieces, I lost my brother, Chris, to suicide.
That pain changed everything.
It made me question my entire way of living, in fact the entire reason for living. Chris was full of ideas and creativity, but he lacked the structure, the support, the scaffolding to bring his dreams to life. He did not get the chance to fully explore what he was capable of.
Losing Chris made me realise that I am so lucky to have found MY path in life, where so many others have not. To have had the strength to change, to step out my comfort zone, to feel scared every now and then without fear of what others think.
You don't need to make radical changes to start making a difference in your life, and you don't need to do it alone. That is why I started Elsa Hogan Coaching, so you can be part of something greater than yourself and benefit too.
And now I wake up every day with a mission: to help 1 million people build a career and life they love.
Not through hustle culture or empty motivation. But through real, practical, meaningful support. Through tools, reflection, and a clear action plan. Through coaching that actually works - because it meets you where you are and helps you take the next step.
To help ambitious people - people like you - find clarity. So you can reconnect with what truly matters. So, if you feel you have strayed a little (maybe even a lot) the same way I did, then you are in the right place my friend.
Why one million?
When I started coaching, I knew that if I could help just one person, like Chris, change their story… it would be worth it.
But I knew I could help more. One person becomes ten. Ten becomes one hundred. One hundred becomes one thousand.
I wanted my goal to feel audacious, I believe in myself, and I will keep going one step at a time until I get there.
Chris is my fuel when self-doubt creeps in. When it feels hard. When I want to retreat. I remember that this work matters. I remember that there are people out there who feel stuck, lost, unsure, and who just need someone to believe in them long enough for them to believe in themselves.
I needed that person, because change and growth can be lonely at times. So I created my community, for trust, healthy challenge, support and accountability.
Why I keep going
I have seen what happens time and time again when someone gets the right support. They light up. They take action. They start to believe again. And that belief? That is everything.
Whether you are here for a free resource, a paid workshop, a full transformation through The Career Clarity Blueprint - or just a quiet moment of reflection reading this blog - you matter.
You are why I do this.
And if your path feels foggy right now, that is okay. You do not need to have it all figured out.
If you are scared, that is okay too. We can take it one step at a time (not radical changes at breaking point please!).
But you do need to create time to listen to your inner voice. Start paying attention to that whisper inside.

You deserve a life and career that feels like yours.
And I am here to help you build it.
Always with love,
